At 9:58 on August 10th, the high-temperature subcritical comprehensive upgrading project of #3 unit of Xuzhou China Resources Power Co., Ltd. (referred to as Xuzhou Project) successfully passed the 168-hour full-load test run, with all unit performance indicators and environmental indicators reaching an excellent level.

The #3 unit transformation of Xuzhou Project was signed and the design was started in April 2017, and the on-site construction was officially began in December 2018. All units participating in construction organized scientifically and planned carefully, achieving 8 successful tests at one time, including hydraulic test, dynamic field test, boiler ignition blowpipe, high kinetic energy flushing, steam turbine flushing, complete start-up, grid-connected power generation, and 168-hour full-load pilot run. It has been the world’s first case of reducing the coal consumption rate of pure condensing subcritical units to the level of ultra-supercritical units.

As a pilot project of CR Power’s subcritical unit energy-saving comprehensive upgrading and transformation, this is a bold attempt under the cooperation and innovation of domestic thermal power enterprises, which plays a typical demonstration role in improving the power generation efficiency of subcritical units with huge reserves in China.

Next, Xuzhou Project will continuously adhere to the craftsmanship spirit, complete the operational adjustment and experience summary after the unit transformation, and strive to maximize the value of it, thus making contributions to the high-quality development of CR Power, the transformation development of thermal power industry, and the core technology output of the Belt and Road “going out” strategy.
