From October 26 to 28, a meeting for reviewing the preliminary design of CR Power Puxi Phase III 2×1000MW Ultra-super Critical Coal-fired Generating Unit (hereinafter referred to as "Puxi Phase III") was successfully held in Chibi, Hubei. Attendees included Zhang Junzheng, vice-chairman of the Board of Directors of the holding company, Jiang Lihui and Bu Xiandou, vice presidents of the holding company, Chen Xinjun, chairman of the Board of Directors of Central Southern China Electric Power Design Institute, Hu Yuqing, deputy general manager of Central Southern China Electric Power Design Institute, as well as other relevant personnel of the holding company, Central Southern China Electric Power Design Institute and Shanghai Electric Group Co., Ltd.
At the meeting, experts listened to the detailed report of Central Southern China Electric Power Design Institute regarding the preliminary design scheme for Puxi Phase III and carried out meticulous, careful review and discussion by nine groups covering steam turbine, boiler, and general drawing and civil construction, etc. After full discussion, major technical schemes including general design and design of various disciplines were approved, as they met the design depth requirements. The minutes for the meeting were made based on the review. Chen Xinjun, chairman of the Board of Directors of Central Southern China Electric Power Design Institute, Bu Xiandou, vice president of the holding company, and Wu Wei, general manager of Xianning Company, delivered speeches at the meeting.
Zhang Junzheng spoke highly of the review results and stressed that this design review should be regarded as the starting point of the high standard construction of Puxi Phase III and that efforts should be made to further strengthen the overall situation awareness and system thinking, give play to the excellent tradition of CR Power, comprehensively prepare for the construction, ensure the project quality, safety, cost and period, and continue to create quality thermal power projects and establish a new benchmark of CR Power.
As planned, Puxi Phase III covers an area of 648 mu, with two 1000MW coal-fired generating units and a total investment of up to RMB 7.5 billion. Upon completion, the Project will achieve an annual output of RMB 4.5 billion. The Project is a powerful measure to realize the national carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals and construct a new power system. Its successful completion is of great importance to saving energy and reducing emission, supporting regional economic development, improving grid performance, increasing grid safety and consuming new energy.
