On December 9, CR Power won the "2021 ESG Excellence Award" at the Hong Kong Corporate Governance and ESG Excellence Award Presentation Ceremony held in Hong Kong.

Since 2007, the Hong Kong Corporate Governance Excellence Award is jointly awarded by the Chamber of Hong Kong Listed Companies and the Centre of Corporate Governance and Financial Policy, Hong Kong Baptist University. Aiming to set high standards for corporate governance and ESG for listed companies in Hong Kong and encourage companies to establish a market model, the ESG Excellence Award is the first category added this year.

According to the Award Committee, CR Power has made positive contributions to the realization of the goal through a clear multi-pronged strategy in the context of national efforts to reach carbon neutrality by 2060. Over the past ten years, with a continuing decline in coal consumption and emissions from power generation, the company has made great progress in the development of renewable energy and has cooperated with brother units of China Resources Group to establish a circular economy model. In addition, the company is actively developing carbon capture, utilization and storage technology, establishing a Carbon Neutrality Research Institute, and participating in the national carbon trading market.
