In recent days, China Electricity Council (referred to as CEC) has announced the 2020 benchmarking results of production and operation indicator of wind farm for the power industry, and 40 wind farms under CR Power won awards, accounting for 35.4% of the company's wind farms and ranking first among power generation operators with units above million-kilowatt-class.

A total of 2,488 wind farms (with an installed capacity of 196,459,000kW) affiliated to 49 power generation group (investment) companies across the country showed up in the benchmarking competition. Following CEC's administration methods and performing appraisal based on the same diameter and site, the competition incorporated the project-wide power consumption indicator, energy consumption indicator and equipment operation level indicator for comprehensive evaluation, went through announcement and final review, and ultimately unveiled the 442 winners.

According to the announced results for the wind farm production and operation index competition, a total of 40 wind farms such as CR Power Guangdong New Energy Company and Shandong New Energy Company won the awards. Among them, 7 wind farms were rated as Grade 5A, including Guanshan and Qianshun wind farms in South China Region, Jiaozhou and Kenli wind farms in North China Region, Fufengling wind farm in North China Region, Yimachi wind farm in Northeast China Region, Xiangtian wind farm in Central-West China Region, and 18 wind farms in East China Region, including Tinghu wind farm, were rated as Grade 4A, and 15 wind farms in South China Region, including Xinfeng wind farm, were rated as Grade 3A.

The wind farms operated by CR Power outcompeted others in maintaining good operating benefits and prominent management advantages. The utilization hours of the project stood out of the whole industry. In 2020, the company's wind power utilization hours were up from the national average by 163 hours, and about 91% of the regional utilization hours were higher than the regional average. The company adopts a centralized O&M mode in wind power business, i.e. centralized monitoring, separated operation and inspection, shrinking deployment of site security personnel and effective ascending in man-machine ratio. By leveraging centralized operation and maintenance mode, the company has seen progress in recent years, specifically, continuously reduced O&M cost in wind power business, ongoing improvement in O&M efficiency in wind power business as well as aspiring employee satisfaction, which in turn enables the company to lead the industry in terms of wind power operation capacity.

CR Power puts tireless efforts in becoming a world-class clean energy company. It will continue to practice the concept of high-quality transformation and sustainable development, join endless efforts to promote wind power operation efficiency, innovate and optimize O&M model, and broaden its efforts in the development and construction of such clean energies as wind power and photovoltaics. It actively steps up to its social responsibilities as a central enterprise, strives to contribute to the fruition of "peak carbon dioxide emissions and carbon neutrality", and acts to make new contributions to beautiful China and green development.
