Vice Chairman Ge Changxin goes to Tibet for the “State-owned Enterprises Directly under Central Government Help to Enrich People and Prosper Tibet” activity

As invited by the government of Tibet Autonomous Region, during June 13-16, Ge Changxin, Vice Chairman of Board of Directors and Senior Vice President of CR Power, led his delegation appointed by China Resources to Tibet for the “State-owned Enterprises Directly under Central Government Help to Enrich People and Prosper Tibet” activity. During their stay there, Vice Chairman Ge Changxin led his team to visit the “exhibition of achievements of state-owned enterprises directly under the central government”, attend the opening ceremony and signed the Strategic Cooperation Agreement of "State-owned Enterprises in Tibet Project” during the “13th Five-Year Plan Period” with the Tibet government.

State-owned Enterprises Directly under Central Government Help to Enrich People and Prosper Tibet” is jointly organized by the government of Tibet Autonomous Region and the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council. Its main activities were the conferencing & strategic cooperation contract signing ceremony, the exhibition of achievements of state-owned enterprises directly under aforementioned enterprise. In addition, the forum of carders of state-owned enterprises directly under the central government sent to support Tibet and Tibet based enterprises taking official post in state-owned enterprises directly under the central government, and the state-owned enterprises directly under the central government investigating in various places (cities) of Tibet.

During visiting Ding Yexian, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Party Committee of and Party Secretary of the CPPCC of Tibet Autonomous Region, Vice Chairman Ge Changxin introduced the business in Tibet of China Resources, and expressed the determination of active participation in the enterprise. The activity to carry out the development and operation of projects in Tibet, and actively perform the social responsibility, to make the proper contribution to the fast development of Tibet. Deputy Secretary Ding Yexian expressed his appreciation to the concern and support for Tibet by China Resources on behalf of the Party committee and government of Tibet, and that they would keep supporting the business development of China Resources in this place.

While investigating in Nyingchi, Vice Chairman Ge Changxin visited the municipal Party secretary Ma Shengchang and Mayor Wangdui, discussing about China Resources’ participating in the “State-owned Enterprises Directly under Central Government Help to Enrich People and Prosper Tibet” activity and development and construction of the city. The municipal Party secretary and mayor promised to support the project investment by China Resources in this city.

In Lhasa, Vice Chairman Ge Changxin made an official call to Liu Xiaoming, Chairman of Tibet Electric Power Co. Ltd. They exchanged ideas about the business development of China Resources in Tibet and future of the electricity market. Chairman Liu Xiaoming expressed his gratitude to the contribution of all those years by China Resources to the electric power development in this province. He stated that, during 2010 and 2011, the high-quality and high-standard 180MW gas turbine project aided by CR Power effectively solved the problem of power shortage in Tibet at that time. This was an active contribution to the economic and social development in Tibet and manifesting that China Resources as a state-owned enterprise directly under the central government truly taking its responsibility. Tibet Electric Power Co. Ltd. will support the new energy project of China Resources in Tibet as it did in the past.

When investigating the PV project of CR Power in Jiangzi, Vice Chairman Ge Changxin recognized the achievements made by the Tibetan team with great efforts the 4,200-meter high Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. He required that the Tibetan team should overcome the electricity limit and other problems, provide adequate care to the employees, support the region to finish the centralized operation and maintenance as soon as possible, improve the living conditions for the employees and give them a sense of belonging and create the cohesive force among the employees.

Wang Haiou, Development Director of CR Power, and representatives from the Strategic Development Department of CR Power, the southwest region, the former Tibet assisting project and Tibet development center, accompanied him.
