On June 6th and 7th, the 11th International CSR Forum was held in Beijing, China. The theme of this event was “Responsible Innovation Drives Development.” The forum adheres to professional and international characteristics, discusses and shares recent global issues, new developments and new trends about CSR, and published the “2015 Golden Bee CSR List (China).” It's the first time that CR Power has participated in the appraisal and selection for the Golden Bee awards, that the company has been granted the “Golden Bee Sustainable Development Award,” and that the company’s social responsibility practice cases were chosen to be featured in the Collection of Golden Bee Responsible Competitiveness Cases in 2015.
Since 2008, the launch of the Golden Bee CSR List (China) award ceremony, it has been reported that more than 2,700 enterprises (organizations) participated in its selection procedure, of which 255 were awarded the title of “Golden Bee Enterprise.” This title was created to encourage enterprises to work like bees: Create economic benefits for themselves, while actively fulfilling respective social responsibilities. They have to be able to continuously expand their development space and devote themselves to maintain harmonious co-existence and co-prosperity with the environment and society, continuously improving their competitiveness responsibly and pursuing common sustainable development, together with society. It took six months to conduct the appraisal and selection procedure for a total of 346 participating enterprises (organizations). The Expert Committee systematically assessed these enterprises in four aspects: Internal principles and systems, external responsible performance, communication with the outside world, and specific fulfillment of social responsibilities. Finally, there were 59 enterprises on the list. CR Power participated in this appraisal and selection activity, and won its first “Golden Bee Sustainable Development Award.”
CR Power has always kept green development as one of its core operation principles. The company actively responds to national economic and energy strategies, and insists on “simultaneously grasping two key links (i.e., economic growth and sustainable environmental protection).” The company provides safe, stable and green energy supply for the public. This is achieved by continuously and deeply promoting energy conservation and emission reduction, lean management, scientific and technological innovations and other related work, and by constantly improving the efficiency of unit utilization and the level of clean production. CR Power works hard to become a practitioner and pacemaker for corporate social responsibility, and to eventually achieve corporate sustainable development.
This forum was co-sponsored by China WTO Tribune and CSR Europe, CBCC and SHRM, co-organized by FTA and EMM Network, and was supported by UNICEF and the CSR Center of the Embassy of Sweden in China.
