On May 19th, CR Power signed the Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement with the People’s Government of Chuxiong Yi Autonomous Prefecture, which contained a plan to locally develop a green energy power project with an installed capacity of 2GW (including 1.5GW of photovoltaic power and 0.5GW of wind power).

Chuxiong Yi Autonomous Prefecture is within the northern subtropics dry-winter and wet-summer monsoon climate regions, and thus sunlight is abundant in this prefecture. Annual average temperatures are 15.7℃. The annual duration of sunlight is 2,177 hours, and the global average solar radiation quantity over the years is 5520.8MJ/m2.a. According to the regionalism in the Evaluation Report for Solar Energy Resources in Yunnan Province, Chuxiong City is a development area with great solar energy resources in Yunnan Province.

This project has been listed as a key green and clean energy project by the People’s Government of Chuxiong Yi Autonomous Prefecture. For the project, a Special Promotion Group was established. During the following steps, CR Power will make the best of all advantageous resources to accelerate all work. The company will strive to start the construction of the project, and put it into service as soon as possible.
