On December 22, CR Power’s first photovoltaic project—Tianzhen 20MWp photovoltaic power generation project was formally incorporated into power grid for power generation.

Located in Datong, Shanxi, the project site has an elevation of 1,000-1,100 meters. With a total investment of 182.67 million Yuan, the project adopts 260Wppolycrystalline solar modules and has a design pattern of 201MWp photovoltaic sub-units, totaling 20MWp. The outward delivery of the photovoltaic field makes use of the 35kV overhead collector circuit connected to the 35kV bus bar of the 110kVbooster station at CR Tianzhen Daliangshan Wind Farm and the single 110kV circuit from the booster station of the wind farm to 110kV Tianzhen transformer substation.

This project obtained the filing document of Shanxi Provincial Development and Reform Commission on August 3, 2015 and was started on August 18 the same year. During the construction period, it overcame lots of negative factors such as huge amount of backfilled earthwork and winter snowstorm. After 126 days of hard work, it was incorporated into power grid on December 22, 2015.
