On July 1, China Resources Power held the “Launch Ceremony of Media Travel into China Resources Power for Experiencing Green Development and Presentation of CSR Report 2014” in Nansha of Guangzhou. More than 20 journalists from mainstream media of Mainland China and Hong Kong as well as honored guests attended the event.
Zhang Shenwen (Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of China Resources Power and GM of the New Energy Business Department of China Resources Power) presided over the event and delivered a speech on behalf of the company. Wang Xiaobin (Executive Director and CFO of China Resources Power) released the China Resources Power Sustainable Development Report 2014 on behalf of the company. Zhang Xinke (EHS Director of China Resources Power) specially introduced the practice of the company in green development. Zhong Hongwu (Director of the Research Center for Corporate Social Responsibility, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (“CSR Center”) read out the Rating Report on China Resources Power Sustainable Development Report 2014, and issued the rating certificate. Finally, Zhou Junqing (Deputy GM of China Resources, Chairman of the Board of Directors of China Resources Power and President of China Resources Power), Zhong Hongwu (Director of CSR Center), Yin Gefei (Deputy Director of China WTO Tribune (under the Ministry of Commerce), Dong Mengjun (Deputy Editor-in-chief of People’s Daily Online, a representative of media guest) and Wei Yaodong (Assistant GM of the Directors Board Office of China Resources) jointly launched the “Media Travel”.
So far, China Resources Power has issued sustainable development reports for 5 consecutive years. Themed by “green energy, moist life”, the report comprehensively discloses the China Resources Power’s fulfillment of responsibilities to economy, safety, staff, customer, partner, government and community around the mainline of “joining hands”, in the ink-and-wash style. With a view to characteristics of power generation enterprise, the report highlights the China Resources Power’s concepts, measures and performances of green development, energy saving and environmental protection, under the special topic “innovate green development and fulfill responsibilities for a better future”. In addition to the Chinese print and the English electronic edition, a new media edition of the report (H5) was published to further enrich modes of CSR dissemination and promotion.
The report was rated as “4.5 stars” by the CSR Center, which means the report is an advanced CSR report and indicates the capability of China Resources Power of CSR report compilation has reached a new stage.
