On July 18, China Resources Power Holdings Co., Ltd. (CR Power) released 2013 Sustainable Development Report (SDR) as the fourth of its kind. From such aspects as "social responsibility management", "development performance", "economic performance", "environmental performance" and "social performance", the report completely discloses CR Power's social responsibility performance in 2013. According to the Guidelines for Preparing Social Responsibility Report by Chinese Enterprises (CASS-CSR 3.0) and the China Corporate Social Responsibility Report Rating Criteria (2014), the Research Center for Corporate Social Responsibility, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences comprehensively evaluated CR Power's social responsibility performance as well as the process, substantiality, integrity, balance, comparability, readability and innovativeness of its report, spoke highly of CR Power's social responsibility performance, and rated the report as a "four-star" (outstanding) report.

To improve its quality, the report strengthens the disclosure of key issues in the power production industry such as "power supply assurance", "work safety", "green power development", "cyclic economy development", "resource and energy conservation", "pollutant and emission reduction" and "regulation of plants and surroundings"; discloses negative data and information such as "number of work safety accidents", "number of human casualty accidents" and "unplanned outage", and expounds the defects of corporate management and corrective measures in the form of case to enhance the report's balance; and discloses the historical data of 53 key performance indicators for three consecutive years such as "operating generating capacity", "operating profit", "total input in staff training" and "soot emission rate" to enhance the report's comparability. The report has a clear framework, an appropriate length and high fluency, uses expressions such as picture, table and flow chart, is well composed and lively in design, and is embedded with graphics with industrial features to enhance the report's readability; the report begins with a special entitled "Social Responsibility Performance over the Past Decade" to present a complete picture of CR Power's social responsibility performance so that related parties can acquire a full knowledge of CR Power's history of social responsibility performance. This was the first time for CR Power's SDR to participate in a review by domestic professional authorities. CR Power will take the opportunity to continuously improve the level and quality of its SDR, promote social responsibility management and practice, and enhance its image as a socially responsible brand.
