On the afternoon of May 4, Chairman Fu Yuning went on a research visit to CR Power. Heard the work reports and had a discussion meeting with the management personnel of CR.

The meeting was chaired by Deputy General Manager Zhou Junqing of the Group. Fu heard attentively the work reports of heads of CR Power on the basics, the operations, future business development plans and key strategic initiatives. The managements of the Thermal Power, Coal and New Energy divisions reported on the current operations, business development, objective and work plans for future works.

Chairman Fu spoke positively of the clear development strategy and years of sound performance and set out specific targets for the future work. Fu pointed out that CR Power should vigorously promote the structural adjustment, optimize the structure of its thermal power assets, increase the efforts on technical innovation, promote energy conservation, improve unit efficiency, and improve asset quality and efficiency while seeking to maintain the level of control of financial risks. CR Power should properly balance conflict between the market opportunities and financial pressure, encourage and promote the rapid development of new energy business, enhance the development of regional strategic project and maintain the healthy growth tendency. The coal industry is now on a special stage of development. The Group and CR Power should provide full support to address difficulties and problems confronting the coal business of CR Power so as to promote the healthy development of coal business. The coal sector should also enhance the adjustment of its structure, refine its internal management so as to ensure the production safety and maintain the stability of the workforce.

Zhou expressed his appreciation of Fu’s visit and inspection in the special period. He said that Fu’s talk gave a clear guidance for the future work of CR Power and encouragement for the management teams of CR Power and employees at all levels. He undertook that CR Power will make its best efforts to implement the important guidelines set forth by Chairman Fu and seek to attain the targets set for various aspects for 2014 as a return to the cares and supports the Group has given to CR Power.

During the research trip, Fu met with employees working at the headquarters of CR Power in Shenzhen. Accompanying Fu on the research trip were Qiao Shibo, Wei Bin and heads of the Strategy Management Division.
