On October 7, Qiao Shibo, President of China Resources (Holdings) Company Limited(“CRH”) , visited Hezhou CR Circular Recyliing Economy Industry Demonstration Zone.

Qiao conducted a field investigation of Snow Brewery and Hezhou Power Plant and held a meeting with the management of the power plant, cement mill and brewery, inquiring full status of business operations and key problems since going into production. The construction of the zone’s infrastructure has been completed: the cement mill came on line in May 2008, two units of the power plant went into operation in August and November 2012 respectively, and the brewery began trial production on January 27, 2013. Qiao emphasized that as the zone has gone into full operation, further efforts should be made to produce periodic work summaries, tap the internal synergy value inside the value chain and smoothly carry out "circular recyliing economy".

During the visit, Zhao Deming, Secretary of the CPC Hezhou Municipal Committee and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Hezhou Municipal People's Congress, met with a delegation led by President Qiao. Zhao spoke of how he sees Hezhou entering a golden decade of opportunity, and how he hopes that the government and enterprises will make concerted efforts to upgrade Hezhou CR Circular Recyliing Economy Industry Demonstration Zone to a national level, step up efforts to implement cooperative projects determined under the investment cooperation framework agreement, continue to consolidate cooperative successes and develop new areas of cooperation.
