On September 4, at the Shanxi Provincial Promotional Conference on the Construction of Modern Mines and Mines with Standardized Safety and Quality, China Resources-Daning Energy Co, Ltd. (CR Daning) won two awards, "Model Coal Mine for Safety and Quality Standardization" and "Modern Mine" of 2012, for which it received prize money of RMB 300,000. Ren Runhou, Vice Governor of Shanxi Province, was present and presented the awards to the company. The attendees included over 500 representatives from the Shanxi Provincial People's Government, the Coal Department of Shanxi Province, the Administration of Work Safety of Shanxi Province, the Coal Bureau of Shanxi Province, the Department of Land and Resources of Shanxi Province, and over 200 coal enterprises from across the province.

The 25 "Modern Mines" named at the conference were selected from the province’s 1,053 coal mines in the province, while only four enterprises won the award of "Model Coal Mine for Safety and Quality Standardization". CR Daning was the only enterprise from Jincheng to win both awards.
